Job DescriptionAutomation Engineer position for someone with Delta V programming experience with a client located approximately 2 hours North of Los Angeles, CA. This position will be responsible for designing, programming, and testing automation systems with chemical / petrochemical clients. Client will consider a more junior level candidate with demonstrated Delta V experience. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates. Responsibilities Control System design methodology, implementation, and testing
Installation and troubleshooting support of various PLC equipment
Work with internal and external resources to manage SCADA systems to optimize operation's work processes and automate field process control and safety systems
Coordinate SCADA implementation activities with operations and facility engineering
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering with approximately 5 or more years experience developing process automation system software
Demonstrated DeltaV, Wonderware, and Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC programming experience
Experience in designing, programming, and testing the automation systems, preferably in chemical or petrochemical industries
Understanding of PLC logic and programming with Allen-Bradley or similar brands
Programming and configuration of machine vision systems and other Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition software packages
Knowledge of engineering documentation such as P& IDs, process flow diagrams and standard operating procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
